Your Precinct. Your Delegate. Your Community.

This page exists because local government works best when people know how to find it. If you live in Franklin 11, have a question about Johnson County, or need help navigating what's available to you — this is a good place to start, and I'm a good person to ask.

Franklin 11 — Your Precinct

Franklin 11 is bounded by 14th Street to the north, the railroad tracks to the east, the north side of King Street to the south, and Main Street to the west. If you're not sure whether you're in the precinct, [link to JoCo voter lookup or election division] can confirm it in about thirty seconds.

As your precinct chair, my job is to be your point of contact inside the Democratic Party — showing up, keeping you informed, and making sure your voice has somewhere to go. Johnson County Democrats have more active representation right now than they have in years. Franklin 11 is part of that — and so are you.

Indiana State Delegate — Johnson County

State delegates are the only people eligible to vote at the Indiana Democratic Party State Convention — the room where the party nominates statewide candidates, approves the platform, and decides its own direction. It's where values get written down officially, and having people from Johnson County in that room matters.

This cycle the convention is June 6, 2026 in Indianapolis. As a delegate I'll be voting on the Democratic nominees for Secretary of State, State Treasurer, and State Comptroller, as well as the 2026 party platform and committee representation. If you have thoughts about who should represent Indiana Democrats or what the party should stand for, I want to hear them before I walk into that room.

FUN Township Trustee Office — Help Is Available

Most people don't know this office exists until they're in crisis. That's part of the problem. The FUN Township Trustee office provides emergency assistance to residents of Franklin, Union, and Needham townships — and if you're struggling, this is a resource you're entitled to use.

There is no shame in asking. That's what this office is for.

What help is available

The trustee office can assist with the basics of survival when you can't cover them on your own:

Rent and mortgage payments, utility bills (water, gas, electric, fuel for heat), food, clothing, household supplies, transportation to job interviews or medical appointments, medical assistance, and burial expenses.

Do I qualify?

You may qualify if you live in FUN Township, have little or no income or assets, and are facing a need you can't meet on your own. Income limits are based on federal poverty guidelines — a single person qualifies up to $1,215/month, and limits increase with household size.

If you're not sure whether you qualify, call and ask. That's what the phone is for.

What to bring

When you come in, have the following ready for everyone in your household:

A valid photo ID, Social Security cards, proof of income, and receipts or bills for the expenses you need help with. The more documentation you have, the smoother the process.

How to apply

Call 317-736-7511 to schedule an appointment. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8am to 5pm. The office is closed on county holidays.

At your appointment, all adult household members need to be present to complete intake paperwork. Once everything is submitted, a decision is made within 72 hours.

If you can't make it to the office, call ahead — accommodations can be made.
